When you fully see what ALL religions are:
it is a way to keep people from killing themselves (for whatever the reason they want to die).
Looked at in this way it is about group or tribal or national survival.
Is it right to lie to people about anything?
I suppose it depends upon the situation.
For example, if you know someone is trying to kill you, you do NOT owe them the truth about anything.
That's a good place to start with.
But, if you actually trust the people you are around and they are not presently trying to kill you telling them the truth about certain things might help everyone survive whatever is happening their lives right then.
So, understanding that religions are mostly lies people tell each other so they don't self destruct is very powerful and empowering for any one person to realize.
For me, it allows me to have compassion for people who actually need religions to stay alive even one more day of their lives.
In my own case around ages 18 or 19 I imagined what life would be like if I didn't believe in God and realized I would kill myself if I didn't believe in God.
So, right then I realized that if I wanted to stay alive I would have to believe in God in order to do this.
So, whatever part of me doubted God's existence gave into the fact that I knew that I would not choose to live without believing in God.
This was a completely logical choice for me if I wanted to stay alive then.
By God's Grace
