When Russia invaded Afghanistan in the early 1980s the CIA gave Osama Bin Laden and mujahideen Stinger missiles in Afghanistan to defeat the Soviet Union

There is a movie about the true story of how this happened starring Tom Hanks I believe:
Charlie Wilson's War (film)
Charlie Wilson's War is a 2007 American biographical comedy-drama film, based on the story of U.S. Congressman Charlie Wilson and CIA operative Gust Avrakotos, whose efforts led to Operation Cyclone, a program to organize and support the Afghan mujahideen during the Soviet–Afghan War.

It is possible of course that the U.S. could give Stinger missiles once again to Ukraine because doing this in Afghanistan helped Bankrupt the Soviet Union at the time and brought the end of communism there. However, it's hard to say how Putin would react to stinger missiles taking out tanks and jets and helicopters which bankrupted the old Soviet Union doing that then?

Because Putin is very attached to the old Soviet Union and misses it a lot these days. So, how would Putin react to giving missiles that could literally take out all Russian Tanks and jets and helicopters?

Would Putin get angry enough to nuke Ukraine or other countries out of existence? This is the big question here. The Soviet Union just collapsed from the loss of billions of dollars of tanks and jets and attack giant helicopters then by the late 1980s.
