This has likely already happened in places like Russia and China where life is cheap compared to places like the U.S., Canada and the European Union. But, I wonder if companies can keep secret mass deaths caused by AI or even one or two deaths?
It would likely take a lot of money to pay off people who were relatives of the harmed or dead. But, it likely happens just like all sorts of other bad things happen too.
But, I think when you develop AI you are going to have problems eventually. And for example, my new car is about as automatic as you can get. For example, it texted us recently to tell us we needed to fill up the window washing fluid. When was the last time your car did that?
So, it's only a matter of time now when mass deaths will be caused by some AI software that escaped from the military somewhere or something like this.
It's likely already happened more than once and people were either paid off or made to disappear so this never came up in the news here in the free world YET.
