Weather Results for San Francisco, CA:RAIN EVERY DAY SOME FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS: WHICH ALSO TRANSLATES TO SNOW ABOVE 1000 TO 1500 FEET
The snow has been a problem for many people who live above 1000 feet on many days now. Houses have burned down in snowy areas because no roads were open to put the fires out in mountain communities. Avalanches are also a problem and in the Lake Tahoe area an East Coast Skier there died when he fell down a tree well and froze to death a day or two ago. So, be careful skiing or snow boarding now everywhere in snow this deep. Even if there is snow near a tree top if you fall through without help that's the end of you.
We personally know at least 3 different households that are snowed in between Mt. Shasta and Lake Tahoe where they cannot drive or get out and on family lost power for 8 days or more. Luckily, they had propane heat so they could at least stay warm
