It's about this time of year (at least before Global warming) that we started to have sunny days more on into the late summer and fall. However, with global warming happening. (hottest day ever on earth Sunday of 62.7 degrees Fahrenheit by the way) it's hard to say what will come next.
The heat inland often sucks moisture off the ocean onto us here in summers and keeps the coast from about the ocean to 10 to 20 miles inland much cooler this time of year. But, in August and September we usually see some temperatures in the 80s and sometimes low 90s also. But, people here mostly don't own air conditioners (just a good heating system) that one needs at least at night year around here on the coast (for example, the lows this week are still only 54 to 56 degrees for this 7 day period we are presently in and the highest temperature predicted even though the sun is out is 66 degrees today.
Right now, it's 64 degrees here but already inland at Santa Nella where Interstate 5 is it is already 99 degrees going to 105 and their low tonight is 72 degrees.
Paso Robles 86 going to 102 today
San Luis Obispo 81 going to 89 today
Santa Barbara 65 going to 74 today
Los Angeles 80 going to 87 today and
San Diego 80 going to 81 degrees today
Death valley is 109 degrees going to 119 today and the hottest month there is July for some reason
Las Vegas 99 going to 109 today
Palm Springs 105 going to 113 today
Phoenix, Arizona 103 going to 113 today
