I started writing about drones mostly because of my mechanical, Electrical and Electronics background because my father was an Electrical Contractor. So, by ages 4 to 7 I started to read his Popular Mechanics and Popular Electronics magazines so I would have something important to talk to my father about. So, because of all this I actually understand how car engines and diesel truck engines and jet engines actually work and I have worked on Gasoline engines since I was 8 years old with my father from 1956 until hr passed on in 1985. Also, mostly I did most of my own mechanical work on all my vehicles whenever possible from 1964 until I married my present wife in 1995 simply because she preferred buying maintenance policies for whatever vehicles we owned which was a tradition in her family. So, I can still do all this stuff but now I'm 76 and it isn't really useful for me to crawl under a car because getting up from that because of health issues might be really painful. So, though I can still do this I prefer not to be in pain doing this.
Also, I understand the mechanics and electronic ways that drones are designed. I also worked as a Computer programmer and Computer Operator after going to Glendale College and learned to program in COBOL and FORTRAN Languages as far back as 1966 in College in the Fall. I also understand how nuclear weapons work both through fission and through fusion which is more like the Sun the way fusion works.
Because of all this knowledge and experiences I see the problem of drones likely better than most other people who don't have the technical or programming experience or mechanical experience or haven't studied all the engineering types of things that I have since I was 6 to 8 years old reading Popular Science and Popular Mechanics and Popular Electronics magazines so I had something interesting to talk about with my father since he was an Electrical Contractor who thought Nicola Tesla was pretty Cool for inventing Alternating Current for Electricity.
Because of my understanding of all this and more I wrote: The Following piece on
"As Drones Evolve"
