I'm thinking it could reach a point where there is just so much moisture in the air so many places that the sun can no longer hit the earth at all.
If this happened the next ice age could theoretically begin by these clouds everywhere obscuring the sun for long periods of time thereby cooling the earth wherever this happened because of so much moisture in the air.
Then so much is evaporated from the oceans that this cools the earth enough for snow to stick more. As the snow sticks to the ground more it builds up and stops melting off during the summers many places.
Over hundreds or thousands of years then we would move into an ice age as this continued.
This is one possibility logically that earth could next experience over the next several thousand years time.
