We got there late at night and the taxis drove us to Sweety's Guest House then across town. They drove us at 90 to 100 miles per hour at about 1 am just after the plane landed. we thought this was strange.
We woke up at Sweety's Guest House in Bangkok and the sound of motor vehicles was deafening from 6 am on. There were no mufflers on Cars or Trucks or motorcycles and the AIR was brown from AIR pollution. We couldn't stand the heat in December or the noise or the air pollution so we got on a bus and went to an island off the coast called Koi Samed Island where we snorkeled and ate fresh caught shrimp from the ocean and the air was clean. But, we had to watch out for giant Clams because if you put your arm into one and it closed you would die when the tide rose. You also had to watch out for green poisonous sea snakes which are very little but deadly. You also have to watch out for Rock Fish with poisonous spines so you don't want to be walking along the bottom of the ocean. We saw a poisonous green snake while snorkeling and many giant clams and also saw many rock fish on the bottom through our snorkeling masks looking underwater. We also rented a Sail Board which is a surfboard with a sail.
The point is even in 1985 when we did this when my older kids were 10 to 14 years old (the three of them) air pollution in Bangkok and the heat was oppressive even in December then.
So, the U.S. telling people of air quality and the like tends to save lives around the world. I think it's 7 million people die yearly right now around the world from air pollution. So, we are stopping sharing this information from our Embassies? Why?
Because Trump and Musk want to make money polluting the world even more?
