Imagine you are living in the late 1930s here in the U.S. People are freaking out because of the Great Depression. But, you are thinking that staying out of Hitler's war on Europe and Japan's war on China and kidnapping women from Korea is pretty bad too.
Imagine that you see the U.S. will eventually be drawn into this multi-pronged war in both the Pacific ocean and in europe. you see all this coming but you see the people don't want another war because after all that was only about 20 years ago where the U.S. was in World War I and no one wants that again.
But, you know that war is inevitable if the U.S. stays isolationist.
Not much different than now. Huh?
Then it was Hitler in Europe and Tojo in Japan.
Now it is Putin in Europe and Xi in China.
These are the main differences.
