Though this is one way to get fresher cheaper eggs it is also a very easy way to get Bird Flu Directly from Chickens who are exposed to it through Wild Birds eating their food. So, Yes, you can get cheaper eggs if you grow them yourselves through your own chickens but you also might get bird flu and die by doing this. It's a two edged sword in today's world.
