There is actually very little difference between a Trade War and an actual Bloody war: They are very close in how they operate

For example, when we in the U.S. did a trade War against Japan and wouldn't sell them any oil at all and because Japan has no oil wells that I know of, this caused the Samurai Military of Japan to attack Pearl Harbor (whether they won this war or not) just out of a sense of Samurai Honor. This was December 7th 1941.

So, a trade war basically brought the U.S. into World War II when we were then an Isolationist nation then too.

So, Trade wars are only one small step away from bloody wars because one side does a trade war and the other always retaliates and won't buy anything from the country that is conducting the Trade War. And everyone suffers on both sides.

This trade war is going to kill (through starvation) many poorer people in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and China.

This is a given and this will create many bad feelings between countries and this could easily get bloody at any point in time.

So, the differences between Trade Wars and bloody wars is actually very very slight in reality.
