Why did I need Comfort food today?

I found out that my first wife is in the hospital with an intestinal ailment. I asked her whether she ever had a colonoscopy and she told me "no" so It made me a little worried for her because I started having colonoscopies at age 50 which is one reason of many that I'm still alive because intestinal cancer takes out a lot of people in our culture mostly because of the average persons diet being too synthetic and not organically grown enough and other factors.

So, I needed some comfort food after I called her and she answered in the hospital with oxygen up her nose like the do in hospitals. She said she had been sick for a week and likely should have gone into the hospital sooner and I agreed.

She is the mother of my 50 year old son that mostly I raised as a single father but she has been more into his life recently since last summer. She is in her 70s like me.

So, I talked to her and found out that she was basically weak but hopefully was going to be okay. Then my son called her from Portland and then my wife called her from the SF Bay greater area where we are now after returning today from Santa Barbara.

I'm hoping and praying she will be okay.

Note: Luckily doctors and nurses think it is a virus so they released her by 9 or 10 pm tonight. Her electrolytes were down so they had her on oxygen and her heart had palpitations from being sick the last week. I'm hoping they didn't release her too soon. Her boyfriend was sick the previous week and they both thought it might be food poisoning but Doctors think it was a virus more like RSV which takes out a lot of people like Covid and the Flu now.

This is one of the reasons why I still wear a mask in all public places.

People think it's safe to be in public places but it's not and unfortunately often they are fools.

You've got RSV, the Flu, Covid, Whooping cough and now measles out there and many of these things are fatal in some people. So, it pays to be cautious enough to stay alive (especially if you are over 45 or 50 which is the time most people die from these things.

However, Whooping cough almost killed me at age 2 so I remember almost dying from that until they angels came and saved my life.

By God's Grace

If it was a virus what possibly brought her back was Pedialyte (which replenishes electrolytes you lose from vomiting and diahrrea  when it goes on too long. We almost lost our daughter at age 2 in the hospital from this.

The doctor later told us that if my wife hadn't yelled at the nurses to put her on an IV she would have died because they were idiots and didn't know how close she was to death then.

So, diahrea and vomiting usually kills more children worldwide than anything else especially from birth to 5 years old when they cannot usefully communicate with us about what's wrong with them.
