And then just like that:

At 3:33 Pm the high fog comes in again here on the coast so the temperature is dropping once again. However, I did get out and walk the dog but there is a lot of traffic everywhere because it's the weekend and there are still summer travelers from all over here on the coast even though most kids will be in the public schools soon at least all over California. Not sure why they have to go back to school so early these days. When I went to public school from Kindergarten to my junior year in High school we started in late September or early October each fall. So, what happened to August? when it's hot and great at the beach and in the mountains for the kids? and without storms pretty Much (at least in California where it usually doesn't rain much at all from May to October of any given year.

However, when it does rain in California it pours like sometimes 15 or 16 inches of rain in 3 days is pretty normal when it rains. (which is also why we have Mudslides and people washing away because of all the hills and mountains concentrating this rain down the slopes all over California. So, though the San Joaquin Valley and Sacramento Valley is hundreds of miles long and maybe a 100 miles wide some places the coastal Range and the Sierras are all hills and mountains. And then there are the flash floods in the deserts.

They for me at least the deserts are the scariest because in the deserts there is usually nothing at all to hold the water back when it comes down and people not familiar with this are often washed away in the Dry? Washes of the desert everywhere that only are filled maybe once or twice for one day or less each year. But, if you are there then Watch Out!

Later the next day: What is interesting is that after the fog came in it went back out again so people could see the sunset for the first time in likely weeks at this point which was really nice. However, there have been so many people here lately for the end of summer at the beach that I took the dog into the forest instead of the beach just to be able to hear myself think. Also, our dog likes the forest as well as the beach like most dogs, except at the beach she rolls onto her back to scratch her back in the sand like a little wiggle worm. She's pretty funny at the beach!
