If you listen to what these young women say it is logical.
They are asked questions like? Do you feel safer in a driverless cab than by being driven around by your classmates who are under 18? The answer is "Yes".
This seems to be a point of view where they would rather survive driving in a car (unlike their friends) with someone their age simply because they would rather be alive.
I guess the WayMo and other driverless Cabs might be safer than riding in the passenger seat with another teenager and these young women understand this.
Personally, I think a driverless cab is likely safer than an electric stand up scooter that you can rent in most larger cities for transportation. However, I also think taking a bus would be much safer (driving wise) than riding in a driverless cab. However, the PEOPLE on the bus might be much less safe than what you are going to experience in a driverless cab.
So, though I don't ever plan to ride (unless it was a complete emergency) in a driverless cab, I can see why others might make other decisions based upon different problems than I tend to face in life.
