Which is something that really never happens where I live in Northern California (though even on the coast this can happen sometimes in southern California.
Where I live in California on the northern Coast often the temperature highs are in the 60s pretty much year around and the lows seldom go below 40 degrees year around too.
So, being able to be outdoors at a restaurant or walking around at 9 pm without a jacket of some kind or sweater on is really nice for us pretty much any time of year.
Yesterday we did a Golf Cart Sunset Tour which for me was sort of like driving a Junior Autopia Car in Tomorrow Land in Disneyland once again. I remember being 8 or 9 years old and wanting to be tall enough to drive one of these carts (even though they have a gas engine and this was electric. And everyone drove these cart paths so quickly it was like this too for people with each couple driving their carts. It was pretty funny in some ways.
The most surprising thing was the hundreds of Nenes that we saw here in Northeastern Kauai on the free Golf Cart tour. I had thought Nenes were close to extinction.
However, because there are no mongoose on Kauai like there are on other islands the Nenes can better survive here. They came here 500,000 years ago when they were blown off course. Also, there is also a Canadian Snow Goose blown onto Kauai who made friends with the Nenes and they have accepted him and lives on the golf course with them the last 6 years that everyone calls Afflack after the goose in the commercial. So, this was pretty funny too. But, it turns out there are also thousands of Nenes now alive on Kauai. There are also a few of them still alive up on Haleakala on Maui too because the mongoose don't like altitude because they are more of a Tropical East Indian Creature whereas Haleakala goes up to 10,000 feet and it sometimes snows there on Maui. I have been there when there is snow up there by the way when I used to live there in 1989 and 1990.
