I take a minimum of Eliquis because I don't want any of the side effects. But, to please my wife I take it at night when you are more likely to have a stroke or heart attack or blood clots in arms, legs or organs which often are fatal to people.
One of my best friends (now passed away last january 2025) had to be air lifted by helicopter from Mt. Shasta to Sacramento because he got a blood clot in his arm and nearly lost the permanent use of his right arm which was extremely painful. However, he survived this for a few years until he died at age 81.
I have been taking Eliquis for several years now and I'm still going strong (here presently in Kauai at age 77 1/2.
