Tesla announced Thursday that shareholders had voted to approve the biggest pay package in corporate history for CEO Elon Musk, in a deal worth up to $1 trillion over 10 years if the company meets a list of benchmarks such as selling 1 million humanoid robots.
end partial quote from previous article.
Of course it could be worth 1 trillion dollars to his investors should he succeed in selling 1 million humanoid robots just like he succeeded in selling Tesla Cars.
However, I still think the whole idea is pretty crazy.
However, I was in Austin last April or May and the Waymo taxis there were sort of creepy because they had no drivers and you really didn't know whether there were any passengers in back either with no driver because the back windows were so shaded you couldn't tell if there were passengers or not.
The other interesting thing about Waymo driverless taxis is that they remind me of the idea of selling 1 million humanoid Robots. There are just too many unknowns here. Are Waymo Taxis Safe? Not really.
Are 1 million humanoid robots safe? Not Really.
So, how many people will have their arms or legs ripped off by these robots (by accident) or outright killed when the robots fall on top of them or whatever?
This is just an accident waiting to happen. You just have to know this.
