power went out just after Midnight Tuesday night (early Wednesday)

We have been running the generator (whenever it would run properly) ever since which has kept 2 refrigerators of food okay and helped have some light (other than battery powered lamps and cell phone lights and candles.

So far so good. The temperatures have been kind to us. Tonight I built the first fire in the fire place. I don't think we have needed to have a fire there in a couple of years so it's really nice it is there in more of an emergency. So, the fireplace can keep at least the living room and the kitchen warm enough to where you are comfortable. If you are cold you can either go sit on the hearth or you can sit nearby the hearth to get warm.

It's been an amazingly fun Christmas even without power to our house.

Also, we found our gas water heater still works even without electricity so this is good too so people can still bathe which is sort of important.

Everyone is presently streaming Home Alone(1990) in the living room and having a great time.

Also, I set up the Wifi and Cable TV so that works too on the generator including our large flat screen TV in the living room next to the fireplace.
