Venezuela seeks to criminalize oil tanker seizures as Trump puts pressure on Maduro

It would be difficult to impossible to criminalize Oil Tanker seizures because likely they are on the open seas out beyond the 20 or 50 mile limit of any country where their jurisdiction doesn't exist. It's possible that the World Court might act on something like this or not depending upon the situation. However, most countries in South America want Maduro Gone and only drug traffickers and Terrorists want him to stay in power now. So, it's a very strange situation on many different levels both for Venezuela, the U.S. and for International Law of the High Seas.
