In China like in the rest of the world it's just too expensive now to raise children. So, having children often destroys the rest of your life because you cannot afford to do anything now if you have children. It's a sad state of affairs worldwide now. For most people having children ruins their lives now which is really sad because having and raising children should be one of the most wonderful things in life instead of a death knell like it is now for many.
Only if you are rich can having children be a pleasant experience now unfortunately.
