I think it is difficult to explain this even to myself. Why?
Because I like you grew up in time and space.
So, imagining what life was like for our soul species before time and space existed is a hard thing to do.
It's also one reason why physicists cannot understand what the other 96% of matter is in the universe beyond Galaxies.
It's because we are limited by only understanding the rules of time and space.
It would be like only believing cars are real and riding around in them all the time and forgetting to believe that trees and oceans and everything else is real. It would be like that. If we only lived in Cars or motor homes what else would we know about?
A person would have to get out of their car or motor home and actually go camping outside of their vehicle to even begin to understand what life was like before cars and trucks and motor homes and buildings and cities and cars.
Once you get used to all the physical niceties of life then you have no reference points to know what came before this unless you choose or have to do this at some point in the future.
Imagine yourself in the movie "Cast away(2000) and suddenly removed from civilization and everything you knew because your plane crashed into the ocean and you barely survived.
Could you personally survive this like the character in the movie played by Tom Hanks did?
It's debatable isn't it if you could survive this alone without help from anyone including no doctors or dentists etc.
