How can you die? I suppose some kind of sepsis might bet he first reaction to this question. But, generally speaking it has to do with your intestines because a hernia is tearing what holds your intestines in place inside your belly or lower abdomen. So, if you get a pinch in your intestines you can get something similar to diverticulitis and then if that isn't treated soon enough you could die.
So, the easiest way to die of a hernia is through a pinch in your intestines like diverticulitis or possibly some kind of sepsis which might be excrement or infection in your blood stream. So, getting your hernia checked as soon as it happens is one way to stay alive with one because there are many variables involved.
For example, my cardiologist told me that eventually I might or would likely have to deal with exactly what I dealt with here and the problem was he couldn't recommend me having this surgery because I might not survive it because my heart wasn't strong enough so he couldn't recommend it YET.
Then I almost died in January from a bout with something like diverticulitis and then my cardiologist re-evaluated my heart condition and said my heart had grown much stronger from a defibrillator pacemaker and taking amiodarone for atrial fibrillation to the point where I might survive robotic Hernia surgery so this is what he recommended.
Since I almost died from my hernia this last January I can seriously say you can die from a hernia if it is not treated as soon as possible in some good way.
So, if you have a hernia be sure to have a doctor look at it BEFORE it becomes so serious you die from it.
