No one is sure yet that this is what is happening but it's also why that ship isn't allowed to let passengers get off the ship. Could 30% of the ship die while this is going on before it docks anywhere? Maybe.
Not sure yet. But, if 30% of the ship dies it is likely that these passengers and this ship will not be allowed to dock anywhere on earth and they might all die (like in plagues before here on earth regarding ships).
