The rights of Democrats and independents are being taken away from them one by one starting with their right to vote. When someone does this they begin the creation of a Potential Civil War. The U.S. is not a Static place and people are only going to take so much before they get out their rifles and start shooting. It's always been this way because we are the most civilly armed nation on earth.
So, Trump is making a really big mistake because he is angering most of the U.S. and his base is leaving him quickly now because the poorer Republicans are all now starving to death from his insane antics in Iran.
So, the country is ripe right now for an all out Civil War. If you study the 1850s and see the similarities to now you can study about this too.
