It struck me the most on Maui for some Reason when I have been visiting there in the past few years. The biggest thing I have seen in Maui and California is Palm Trees falling into the ocean from rising ocean levels combined with storms and high or King Tides in the Winter time. When you have a storm on top of a King Tide it can become very problematic for people who live on the ocean worldwide.
If you look at a map all the main oceans of the world are connected which means that when the ocean rises one place it rises the same amount every other place too on earth because the Mediterranean Ocean is connected to the Atlantic Ocean which is connected to the Pacific Ocean and so on and so on.
So, when parts of Miami go under water especially during high tides you also have places like Seal Beach or Long Beach in California also going underwater around the same time too when there are high tides combined with storms. Even where I live on the ocean a few years ago hundreds of rocks about 30 to 50 pound were thrown onto shore and onto paved roads in my area too from storms at high or King Tides as well.
It's not that it is happening every day it's that during storms combined with High Tides a lot of damage can be done.
For example, Hurricane Polo will cause even more erosion especially in Southern Califronia and Mexico and on Baja California as well.
And because of melting of Ice in the north and south pole this will all get progressively worse throughout this century and beyond. Scientists expect most glaciers on mountains will be gone by 2100 AD. I'm not sure when all the ice in the Arctic and Antarctic will be gone though.
What should be interesting is when more people are colonizing Antarctica because it is a land mass and Siberia also because it is land once most of the ice is gone too.
