They usually aren't as wealthy as Silver's family is though. However, what these children now (in 2026) have in common is that their parents plugged them into media as babies and 2 year olds. I have a relative by the way who is a child now and going to become a teen soon. But, he still takes his Ipad type of media with him everywhere and plugs in even in a restaurant. It's hard for me to see this how more and more children are becoming like Silver and somewhat ignored.
In some ways it reminds me of how ignored (to Death) children were in the 1950s when I grew up.
It still was like the 40s and before where a lot of children died.
For example, in 1900 30 percent of all deaths in the U.S. were children under 5 years old.
So, children were not expendible it's that they could die and this would destroy people's lives a lot from 1900 to about 1960 or 1970 when medical care started to get better around the world.
However, before this one had to find a way not to go mad when children died a lot (sometimes 30% to 50% of children died before 5 years old and many women especially and some fathers went insane and divorced and had all sorts of serious psychological issues from all this.
So, there was this distance required to try to survive the death of your children before 5 years old going on then.
and this way of thinking to protect yourself from nervous breakdowns and insanity was that people tried to stay as distant as possible from children sometimes including their own in order to try to stay alive all over the earth in the 1950s. and this was a carry over from the last several thousand years of deaths of mothers and children in all sorts of ways too.
The deaths during childbirth sort of equaled men dying in wars and taking risks before the 1960s and 1970s when all this started to change.
So, this ignoring children and putting them on media has its roots in the mass deaths of children under 5 years old in past years.
