It is now raining hard where I live to on the northern California coast, the temperature is beginning to drop because nightfall is coming away from Hawaii type temperatures that came with this storm off the Pacific Ocean as a Pineapple express storm. On the weather radar map I see rain coming down as far south as Hunter Liggett and as far north as British Columbia and Alberta Canada from this storm. But, even in Washington it is mostly rain except in very high altitudes so any snow below about 7,000 to 9000 feet depending upon which state you are in are likely melting now. Also flooding is happening in Washington and likely soon in California too if not already especially north of us and inland near Sacramento because of the sheer amount of rain coming down there now.
There is a wind advisory for almost all of Northern California including over the Sierras steady winds of over 60 mph with gusts up to 120 mph over the tallest crests and peaks there. So, be careful if you are driving over Interstate 80 or Hiway 50 or others in the High Sierra areas.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
