Amazing couple of days

We set out yesterday morning thinking we were just going to go out for the day. We had been waiting for our daughter to deliver her baby for about a week and so needing a break from this we took off for a break and went to Ramona and Julian and Borrego springs and Salton sea. By the time we had reached the Salton Sea it was dark and I didn't want to drive that mountain route in the dark after driving it one way already. So, instead we drove over to Palm Springs and went to see Bad Mom's Christmas which I would highly recommend (if you like this type of comedy around Christmas). I found it hysterically funny and very psychologically healthy  for many types of people to see who it might help in various ways if for no other reason that they might laugh at some of their problems in caricature up on the silver Screen.

However, this morning after spending the night in Palm Springs (likely it was Rancho Mirage nearby Palm Springs but Palm Springs is more internationally known.) only to hear our daughter was headed to the hospital to deliver. She had a beautiful baby boy late this afternoon. We just got home and our other two daughters arrive from Portland tomorrow to spend Christmas with their sister and us and the new baby and her husband.

So, we had to do quickly the 2 hour drive from Rancho Mirage next to Palm Springs over the Freeways home to the hospital where she gave birth to our grandson (This is our second Grandson by the way).

So, if you were wondering why I wasn't blogging much the last couple of days I was either driving or sleeping  or watching a movie in Rancho Mirage or in the hospital for our daughter and husband while they were giving birth to  our grandson and their first son.
