Both sides are posturing for their bases and for now both bases are eating this up like candy.
Because of this I predict it is possible this Government shut down could easily continue for 1 to 2 months time.
Likely, because the Democrats are the party of the downtrodden they will be forced by their base to give in first.
But, on another level I wouldn't bet on it because of the incredible anger of the democratic base which is the majority of people in the U.S. who feel Blackmailed by the Republicans at this point.
So, from this point of view this shutdown might continue for 6 months time.
I'm thinking only a war or an assassination of someone is going to change this present stance of both parties.
This is likely one of the craziest things I have observed in my whole lifetime as an American Citizen and I was born around the middle of the 20th century just after World War II.
I can tell you one thing:
Whatever happens here this year will change the whole world in myriad amount of ways the rest of this century.
