The Future is just as unlikely as the past

The past was impossible and improbable always but so is the future always. So, understanding this is one of the first steps to enlightenment. Nothing is what it appears to be. So, because of this having ultimate compassion for yourselves and all other beings is the wisest outcome. The past was impermanent. The Present is impermanent. The Future is also impermanent. Understanding this is wisdom. Understanding this is immortality. The nature of all life is impermanent. Understanding this deeply one is then free. No matter how good something is it will be over soon. No matter how bad something is it will be over soon. Though this isn't the way you might want things to be this is the way they always are. Knowing this is wisdom. Knowing this you are ultimately free.
