It is possible that Egypt cannot make democracy work. That would be sad not only for Egyptians but also for the whole Middle East. But, Morsi demonstrated his loyalty was ONLY to the Muslim Brotherhood and to Islamic and not any secular points of view. Since 48% or more of the Egyptain people likely would rather die than have an Islamist government (after looking what it does to other Arab countries) democracy might not be possible for Egypt. Another factor is that Egypt has become (an Economic Basket case) in the process of it's ongoing revolutions. So, even though they have been relatively bloodless so far, it doesn't bode well for the future or any kind of stability without someone again like Sadat or Mubarak unfortunately.
So, will the government of Egypt keep changing while being overseen by the Egyptian Army? Maybe. In some ways Egypt is a lot like Pakistan regarding this. So, we might see 10 governments rise and fall arbitrated by the Egyptian army until we (Might) have one that enough people like that they might leave it for 4 to 10 years or more. Democracy doesn't look like it is very compatible when extremist religious points of view are forced upon people. So, possibly Egypt isn't ready for democracy and maybe it never will be. However, it is possible we are going to see a new (democratic rule by Mob enforced by the Military as popular arbitrators ongoing).
