If you get the chance now go to "Wundermap interactive weather" and click on all the buttons to the right. Everything from Belize and Guatemala north looks a lot like Noah's Ark weather. So, what is hitting north of Belize and Guatemala likely will wind up somewhere north in U.S. too eventually.
Also, with all right buttons on grab the map and move north to New Mexico and Colorado. Noah's Ark Weather there too right now.
6 hours later: I looked again at this map and felt sort of worried for people in Mexico and points south from there, it looks worse and worse for Mexico and Central and parts of South America from Wundermaps.
