These are being leased right now in Los Angeles for around $500 a month by Hyundai.
we have zero emissions just from turning Hydrogen into water vapor to generate electricity.
However, hydrogen is also in water and solar cells could break down water into hydrogen and oxygen slowly through electrolysis. So, if a person (anywhere on earth) has both sun and water they potentially also have solar cells to break down water into hydrogen and oxygen which then could power literally any hydrogen fuel cell vehicle or generator that is now here or will be developed in the future on earth.
So, any man or woman with rights to both sun and water where they are on earth potentially can convert that into power to live their lives and develop their businesses and livelihoods all over the world.
The problem with this is if EVERYONE uses up all the water and turns it into hydrogen and oxygen and there is no water left to drink or bathe in for any life forms on earth.
So, in the short term everyone could have power to do literally anything with. In the long run if it gets out of control no water would be left on earth because it all would be converted into hydrogen and oxygen and water wouldn't be here anymore.
Even the oceans could be converted to hydrogen and oxygen by first distilling the water through solar power to separate out the salts and minerals.
Later: After thinking about this more this might not be true. Actually some salts in the water (like in the ocean) might be preferable when separating hydrogen from the water through electrolysis. Because the salts allow the electricity to break it into hydrogen and oxygen more easily. However, then what do you do with any residue like minerals and salts and other things left over from water turning literally into hydrogen and oxygen through electrolysis?
