When the s*** started flying over Bergdahl at first I thought it was just an anomaly. The Democrat (from my state!) Senator Feinstein was really upset with the president I was Really surprised.
However, from my vantage point now I think I understand what is going on. When 9-11 happened our whole country went into a PTSD en masse along with much of the world from the extreme changes this all brought. However, now 2 presidents later and 13 years since 9-11 the country is war weary but still emotionally nuts from the Iraq War, the Afghanistan war, the Great Recession, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Ukraine, (you name it). People have just had enough of war, soldiers dying or in Bergdahl's case being so tortured and crazed from it they can't even call their parents to tell them they love them or that they are alive.
The American people just can't take anything more to do with war. 13 years of war has made a lot of people in the U.S. just berserk. (I can't think of a better name for it than that). Maybe a better name is 13 years of masse PTSD and the mass consequences of what that does to a country. (any country).
