The Scale of the Syrian Crisis if this was happeni...
I was reading the above article that I quoted here at this blog site and I was realizing that the somewhere between 9 millions of people in Syria who are refugees from Syria both inside and outside of Syria are a part of a new Cold War. (Angelina Jolie) says that 51 million people in the whole region are now refugees inside or outside of their countries now because of the Syrian problem and ISIL.
When you think about the 98 million people that died from Proxy conflicts from the last Cold War you begin to see the scale. I was also thinking how many refugees in the last Cold War and I was thinking likely there were at least 500 million of them from all parts of the world from 1945 to 1991.
However, it could be much more than this.
So, evidence of a New Cold War inherent in seeing what is happening in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey and throughout the middle east.
Even the extreme drop in oil prices is partly caused by Saudi Arabia not wanting to have it's government overthrown by ISIL. There are many reasons why Saudi Arabia is driving the price of oil down further now.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
