We have another example to day when the student asked other students, "What religion are you?" before he shot them. Now at least 10 are dead and another 7 wounded in Oregon. I'm thinking by the nature of this question he was likely Muslim. But, if he were a fundamentalist Christian in the extreme he might have shot people who weren't as fundamentalist as he was also.
So, the point here is fundamentalism of all kinds kills. Understanding this if we want to stop these kinds of murders it might be important to profile fundamentalists who might be likely to kill other people who don't believe the way they do.
You might not believe in profiling. You have that right. And then, if people who might kill aren't profiled you also might be one of the dead eventually too (or one of your kids) when they aren't caught or stopped before they act and kill a whole bunch of people.
Another point of view might be that the level of world population has triggered a response in human mammals. This happens in most mammalian populations at some point where males just start killing people because there are just too many people.
In the Middle East it is somewhat different. IF you went there there might be many places no one lives because there is no water there at all. But then it becomes: "How many people can the water and land in one area sustain for 20 years? for 100 years? for 1000 years?"
So, in the middle east it is about how much potable water is there and how much food can be grown there. And anything above that (unless you are an oil nation) is going to begin to get people killed (or at least to move somewhere else) (like now to Europe).
It is important to consider that anyone who is saying within themselves: "If people don't believe like me they should die!" that often that is what this person is actually going to create happening if they are male at some point between the ages of 15 and 30 especially when testosterone is high.
