Stine after ...This is a really fun movie for the whole family. It's in some ways like Jumanji with a lot of life lessons for kids. The main lesson is "Be careful what you think and even more careful what you write."So, this is a fun movie for the whole family. It's scary enough to be good for Halloween but mostly not scary enough to traumatize most 5 to 10 year olds. For me personally dealing with what is real and what is not (people wise) was the scariest part of the movie and likely will be for most adults and possibly for kids who think this way too. But, as a 4 year old the scariest movie I ever saw was Bambi because Bambi's mother dies which for a 4 year old is beyond horrifying and by the way Steven King also agrees this was the single scariest thing he saw as a little kid too.
