Foreign Secretary Hammond claimed under 30 per cent of Russian air strikes are against Daesh
“The Russians say let's talk, and then they talk and they talk and they talk. The problem with the Russians is while they are talking they are bombing, and they are supporting Assad."
Russian jets launched began airstrikes in September and is said to have carried out 468 strikes in Syria during the past week, hitting more than 1,300 “terrorist” targets.

Hammond said there is frustration with the Kremlin over strikes on 'moderate opposition' to Assad
Mr Hammond claimed Russia is “not bombing Daesh” but instead are targeting “moderate opposition” to Assad.
He said: "Their intervention is strengthening Daesh on the ground - doing the very opposite of what they claim to be wanting to achieve."
The Foreign Secretary believes the number of people heading back to Syria has “stopped dead”.
He added: “There is a new flow coming in because of the actions the Russians are taking – particularly in southern Syria along the border just a few kilometres from here”.
He also claimed that “less than 30 per cent” of Russian strikes are against Daesh targets.
Speaking at the Zaatari refugee camp, in Jordan, Hammond claimed both Russia and Iran are not being “particularly helpful to the peace process”.
