Tornadoes as far north as New York City?

I just heard a weather report on TV about how tornadoes could be hitting as far north as New York City now. This seems pretty crazy but is also directly tied to the anomalies now at the North pole and El Nino effects as well. This is part of what I was writing about this morning where the humans who are going to survive this have to start to engineer ways to make it through all that is coming from:

High Winds:

tornadoes and Hurricanes and damaging winds of all kinds.

Freak Snow storms:

IN summer or winter

Droughts:

in new places or worse ones in old places

Floods:

Seattle just broke it's all time record for rain in the Winter season with more time now even until March 1st left to extend the record even further.

Rains hitting Texas, and the South this winter that never stopped.

Heat: even in December while it was 40 or 50 degrees at the north pole when it melted out, New York City and Boston and Washington DC were in the 70s during the day Fahrenheit too.

If the north pole can now melt out in the Winter? what is the summer going to be like up there?

Open water?
