Monsoon rains in Arizona
Outside huge raindrops are falling reminiscent of when I lived in Hawaii. Very very seldom in California do we get the huge raindrops where if you are hit by one of them you can be drenched by just one two or three of them clean through your shirt. But, right now, I'm glad I'm not down low somewhere subject to flash flooding because when there is nothing to stop all this monsoon desert rain you want to be someplace high up and not on the edge of a river or walking in a dry wash. Either way, the air is clear where I am and refreshing and the scenery is really amazing. People are nice and all is good where I am as another and another lightning flash hits somewhere close. Northern Arizona can be pretty amazing in monsoon season, especially this year. These are some of the same storms trashing Texas and Louisiana right now. The only reason why it isn't doing the same thing here is the dry desert air has a lot of room to soak up a whole lot of moisture before it starts raining at all to the ground.
