Necessity is the Mother of Invention
I learned the title phrase strongly in the 1990s when my 2nd marriage ended and I didn't see a way forward for myself or my then 5 year old daughter.
A friend told me this and he was right. When things look the darkest like they now do on earth you have to think differently.
The first thing you eliminate is the word "problems" and you view the world differently in order to survive in it.
Most people hear the word "Problems" and it is like a brick wall they are hitting. So, you have to make the brick walls disappear so your mind doesn't freeze up and you just give up and die.
So, you come to "If you are wise" the thought that "There are no problems only opportunities".
This is how it is done.
I have no job.
I can go back to school and study to be something new and better. I can better myself.
I have no food.
I can find a way to get food that I didn't think of before.
I have no water to drink.
I can find a way to get water to drink and bathe in that I didn't think of before.
I can't support my family economically.
I can find ways to do this I haven't thought of before.
My country is in bad shape.
I can either find a way to make this country better or I can move to another country where things are better right now.
I'm scared.
Being scared isn't useful so I will find ways to not be scared anymore.
Every situation you are confronted with can be overcome in some way you might not have thought of before.
The point is to be flexible enough in your thinking to survive anything. So, to help you and your family survive whatever you are facing right now in your lives, you must take on the philosophy that
"There are no problems only opportunities"
Because if you don't, you won't survive what comes next this year or the year afterward.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
