Think about this for a moment. 300 million people in India have never been to school a day in their lives, don't have a birth certificate because they are never born in hospitals, can't get any ID because they don't have a birth certificate. And now they cannot cash 500 and 1000 Rupee notes $7 and $14 dollar notes without an ID. But, if you were not born in a hospital or even with a doctor you cannot have an ID. People might say this is an anti-terrorist thing to do. However, it only will destroy the lives of people without IDs who never will be able to travel legally out of their country anyway, and might even cause them to starve to death.
So, de facto, this is a genocidal currency ban in India that can only kill or harm the poor: kill through starvation, or harm because they cannot cash 500 and 1000 rupee notes which they depend upon for their survival.
For us, it would be like banning all 20s, 50s, and 100 dollar bills for anyone to be able to cash. Who would this affect here in the U.S.: The poorest of people who cannot read and don't have bank accounts whose complete lives are based upon cash only kept under their beds or in their walls of their little house or apartment or buried somewhere in their yards or in the forest.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
