You might hear practitioners say "Om mani paymay" Hum if they are doing this mantra very fast with a prayer bead mala (counter). A prayer bead mala usually has either 108 or 111 beads depending upon your practices.
This is a mantra that invokes Avaloketesvara, The Buddha of Compassion. The Dalai Lama is thought to be an incarnation of "The Buddha of Compassion" here on earth. So, to devout Tibetan Buddhists the Dalai Lama would be like Jesus for Christians in a physical body here on earth.
This mantra invokes infinite compassion. Though it is better to be empowered by a Tibetan Lama to do this mantra many people around the world use this mantra to invoke compassion into their lives and the lives of those around them. Often you might see Tibetan or Sanskrit writing on a silver bracelet that some people wear. Usually, it is this mantra you will see carved into the silver bracelet with Om Mani Padma Hung carved into the bracelet in either Tibetan or Sankrit the Sacred language.
Some of the languages that sprang from Sanskrit, (the sacred language) are Russian, Hindi, and Tibetan and likely Newari which is spoken in Nepal often.
I have seen in some places in India and Nepal hundreds or thousands of flat rocks carved with this mantra in Tibetan or Sanskrit sitting in piles at sacred sites. So, a lot of time meditating and carving and using this mantra has occurred during the last 1000 years or so in places like Tibet, China, Nepal, Bhutan, India etc.
I have also been to Dharamshala, India in January and February 1986. I felt the connection between the heaven realms and earth at this time. One of my most remarkable experiences was to go to the Kalachakra Tantra initiation which takes 4 days time with 500,000 others including all 5 members of my immediate family (3 children my wife and I in 1985 December) in Bodhgaya, India. The Dalai Lama gave this initiation to all of us there. most people were in native dress from Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, etc. and there were also about 10,000 westerners from places like the U.S. , Europe, North and South America, and places like Japan there at the time too.
It was a remarkable and amazing experience because I intuitively went there with my family from Thailand and we magically were invited to receive this initiation from a friend even though we had no knowledge of it before arriving there. I didn't even know what the Kalachakra Tantra was before then. It is important to Tibetan Buddhists to receive this initiation before they pass on so they can go to Shambala which is sort of like a Heaven realm when they pass on. So, somehow we wound up in the right place at exactly the right time. This experience has drastically changed my life and the lives of all my children ever since.
Much of my writings regarding Arcane and His Oneness the past life memories were opened up by this initiation. Even though I didn't understand yet that all past lives are lived by the soul simultaneously in the past, present and future in this galaxy and potentially all others until 1998 and 1999. Still, I knew my family and I were forever changed by the Kalachakra Tantra in our life paths towards compassion towards all beings in the universe.

After I realized in 1998 and 1999 that these were past life memories in the past, present and future and not just therapeutic Science fiction I was writing. I realized God had had me write these things to share with all of you so you could see more what is going on in this universe as souls incarnate on this planet and others in the past, present and future.
