To International Readers: Why are U.S. states one by one legalizing Marijuana?

The first reason is 50,000 deaths in Mexico and border regions with beheadings of many, women police officers shot and sometimes beheaded etc. near the Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas Borders.

This is the first reason as a way to reduce gangs having machine gun fights and beheadings both sides of the borders.

The 2nd reason is that state Governments can tax it and make money on it and make sure it is safe and not laced with other drugs. So, quality assurance and taxes are a part of it.

Do I personally agree with the legalization of Pot. No. Not really. However, if I weigh this against thousands of people being blown away over this and people dying from pot laced with almost anything is another reason.

Do I want to smoke pot? No. I think it interferes with clear thoughts and takes at least 6 months to go out of your metabolism. So, it is going to influence your thoughts and decisions for at least 6 months.

Also, I think that young people are going to smoke it or eat it in some formand drive a car which is a bad idea because you cannot really drive high. I have seen what this did to people in college in the 1960s. They would get focused on something like the sunset or something pretty instead of driving the car and sometimes this is fatal because you cannot juggle enough variables to safely drive a car.

So, marijuana is just as much of a killer when driving a car as Alcohol is and it is sometimes even worse because it messes up all your logical and reasonable decisions for up to 6 months before it slowly goes out of your body. It's not like alcohol that leaves your body usually within 24 hours.

So, I can see the point of saving thousands of lives but I worry about our youth who might not have seen all the things I have seen in being alive almost 70 years now.
