In 1976 my son was 2 years old and I was 28 and living here in San Marcos which is right next to where the Lilac fire is now. We had moved into a home my parents bought in San Marcos then before we saved money and moved to Mt. Shasta where my wife and I eventually broke up when I was 29 in 1977 in July and I got custody of my son and became a single father for a few years before I married again. Mostly since I have been 26 now I have been married except for july 1977 to March 1980 mostly because I was always raising children. I always wanted to be a parent and so marriage I ahve found helps stabilize your children while you are raising them if you are married to the right person.
However, in life people are always changing mentally and physically and so these changes always make it hard for marriages to stay together for the children ongoing. So, in marriages you have all these different forces working for and against your marriage and you never know which ones are going to win. So, even if you are married to the right person to pull all this off often their health changes or one of you dies or something happens. So, all you can do is your best in all situations.
In the end life is very unpredictable. Unimaginable things happen to all of us all of the time and still we have to go on for our children and for ourselves.
But, if you don't take care of yourself first you cannot take care of anyone else.
Remember that.
If you aren't okay and you are head of the household, no one else is okay either.r
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
