If it weren't for the Colorado River Delta the ocean from Gulf of California would come up as far as Indio

If you are practical thinking person think about this for a moment:

The ONLY thing that holds the ocean back from filling the minus 245 feet below sea level of the Salton Sea and Surrounding area is the River Delta of the Colorado River.

With rising Sea levels world wide inevitable now it is only a matter of time before:

THE OCEAN COMES BACK IN AS FAR AS INDIO.

WHY?

Because first there is no Colorado River to speak of building up that delta anymore

because most all of the water is siphoned off into Canals or pipelines to cities before it gets to Mexico.

And Second the oceans are rising.

So, as a result it is only a matter of time before the Gulf of California extends up to Indio and ships might dock in Indio.

But, everything between the Gulf of California and Indio below SEa Level THEN is going to be underwater in the near or far future.

For me this is an amazing but true thought given all present variables.
