Helping the Dreamers is the Moral thing to do, But

The reality of the situation is far more complicated than that. When you have a president whose father was KKK and brainwashed Trump to be the same, when you have Steven Miller who is even more extreme than Trump (in regard to Immigration). When the presidency and the House and the Senate are ALL Republican controlled, unless you are very pragmatic all this just blows up in everyone's face.

I have been watching how government functions (or maybe better said "It never worked very well at best") for 70 years now almost (if you consider that is how old I will be this year. But, in 1952 my Grandfather bought a big black and white TV set and I watched my first Republican Convention and watched General Eisenhower become president from there. Since I hadn't really been allowed to watch TV before this and I was about 4 at the time this made a really big impression on me at the time and after.

But, still as bad as it can get (our government) it  looks much better than what most other nations of the world have come up with (or haven't come up with more to the point).

So, after watching the craziness of our government at all levels for 70 years I understand usually what is going to happen next.

If we are really lucky the moral thing to do will be what actually happens. If we are really unlucky the Dreamers will all be deported by the Trump government before the 2018 elections (or soon after).

These are crazy times folks and there are variables up the ying yang at this point that aren't usually in place.

So, can anyone guarantee the "Dreamers can stay?" NO! not really. But, it is the hope that enough people will make enough noise on their behalf (both Republicans and Democrats) to force the Republican leadership to let them stay even if the Democrats have to build a wall on the southern border to do it!
