Why do I value Tibetan Buddhism so much?

Think about this for a moment: "One of the most violent cultures on earth in Tibet becomes the primary country (through the Dalai Lama) of non-violence as it faces the world including China."

When Buddhism first came to Tibet through

He ruled from AD 755 until 797 or 804. Trisong Detsen was the second of the Three Dharma Kings of Tibet, playing a pivotal role in the introduction of Buddhism to Tibet and the establishment of the Nyingma or "Ancient" school of Tibetan Buddhism.
Father‎: ‎Me Agtsom
Reign‎: ‎755–794
Mother‎: ‎sna-nam-bza' mang-po-rje bzhi-sting
Religion‎: ‎Tibetan Buddhism

So, King Trisong Detsun who ruled from around 755 AD to around 804 AD brought Buddhism through Padmasambhava and Yeshe Tsogyal into Tibet.

Padmasambhava being a very pragmatic Mahasiddha from Nalanda University (the primary Buddhist seat of advanced learning at the time) saw that the blending of the native Bon Po Shamanic ways with Buddhism could work. So, through Padmasmbhava's supernatural Mahasiddha ways he blended the two supernatural ways based upon the power of the Himalayan Mountains combined with the compassion and harmlessness of Buddhism and created one of the most amazing religions on earth that was not really violated between around 800 AD until the Chinese started to invade Tibet in the 1950s. This created a really amazing culture over these over 1000 years and this culture has a lot to teach the world about spiritual and physical survival.

Imagine this: a culture that survived mostly between 8000 feet elevation and 15,000 feet elevation for several thousand years combined with harmlessness and compassion for all life in the universe through Buddhism. This is an amazingly pragmatic direction and life that should be studied deeply to benefit all that this culture brought to earth regarding long term survival of a culture.

The whole world can learn a great deal about how to survive as a world culture from Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhism, especially today the way things are going through global warming, Trump and Putin and Xi.
