People have moved away from the big cities in droves so they can survive the coronavirus and not die or get infected and almost die. It just makes sense until there is a proven vaccine that works.
It's the same for all pandemics and plagues. You DON't Want to be in a city when a pandemic and plague is going on unless you want to die. This has always been this way.

After the pandemic which would likely be about March of 2022 it might be a different story. But in the meantime people have left and are leaving big cities in droves so they can stay alive through the pandemic just like in all pandemics and plagues before down through history all over the world.
