Then Elizabeth 1 beheaded Queen Mary because she was threatening Elizabeth I s throne even though she didn't want to execute her cousin. However, Mary's son became King James because Elizabeth I didn't have any visible heirs (because her potential heirs had either been executed or hidden from the public).
King Henry VIII made a mess of the situation executing and divorcing his wives because he couldn't create a son that lived past childhood. This caused a break with the Catholic church and then Queen Elizabeth I had to deal with King Phillip of Spain trying to take over the world and England too. Instead the Spanish Armada sank in a storm off of England and Ireland. Any Spaniards not drowned or killed by people on shore became over time what they call "The black Irish" as they intermarried with local women.
This ended Spanish Supremacy and likely without the sinking of the Spanish Armada Spain would have the position England now Does in relation to North America, Australia, New Zealand, India and Canada.
So, as King James faced not having an English Bible he created the King James Version. However, when you translate anything you are going to make a lot of mistakes either directly or indirectly.
For example, even in relation to say the 1960s in America people who didn't live then really have no idea at all what it was like. They only get "The tip of the iceberg" so what they get about the 1960s isn't really at all what people actually experienced then.
Imagine the Bible (both old and new testaments) going from Aramaic (Jesus') native language through Egyptian and Latin and Greek before they came to English and then imagine the biases and patriarchal ideas of men who were monks in the Church of England and what their biases did to the King James version. Then imagine 1600 years coming between the meanings of Christs time in whatever language they were originally and whatever meanings people put upon all that every since.
So, you can see what a mess something like this actually creates long term regarding specific meanings of anything actually being translated into the present when people here in the U.S. actually have no idea even now if they didn't live then what the 1960s were all about from the Assassination of JFK and Martin Luther King to Bobby Kennedy to the lack of trust of the American people regarding being lied to about everything ever since regarding our Government. Let alone the incredible damage the Viet Nam war did to our nation and to the world.
